Blindly Optimistic.
I’m happy.
It’s the middle of January and I truly feel a sense of stability and balance that my life has been in need of for quite some time.
I really like my job. The people I work with are becoming family. I know that I’m good at what I do and I’m starting to gain a sense of trust towards many of my co-workers. Something that is very hard to find, speaking from experience. I know that I will be able to excel in my workplace and even though my life’s path is taking a new direction- I am excited and confident for whichever way the road takes me from here.
Scott and I are better than we’ve ever been. I’m learning that the saying holds true— living together either makes or breaks a relationship. As we approach the one year mark of our decision to co-habit-ate, I have a deep sense of knowing that the hard part is over. We’re learning how to create the perfect love and after trial-and-error time after time… we’re learning what works and how to just be. Rather than forcing our individual ideals, we’re just riding the waves. Something that I now believe and know to be necessary.
The villains are still out there. Concocting and trying to solve their unhappiness by trying to sabotage my happiness. I’ve learned something valuable though: internalizing the negative is almost always unnecessary. There are ways to put walls up and protect your emotions if you allow yourself to believe that most of the time, people project their own issues onto others.
Feeling optimistic?
Merry Christmas Tumblr. Last night was my good friend Sarah’s 21st birthday. Her Grandmother took all of us gambling and bar hopping inside of a casino, it was a great night.
I’m spending the majority of my Christmas Day with my puppies. It snowed a bunch last night and this morning, providing us with a White Christmas for the first time in years.
I really need to clean my computer.
March is approaching rapidly. I am absolutely thrilled to find and create a new sanctity for my home. I have a great feeling about the next place.
I can’t decide if feeling emotional is something I enjoy or dread.
Scott’s mother gave me a necklace with the words “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.”
2 months.
Another year is approaching. On Wednesday I turned 21.
I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons this year along with getting to know who I am in a much deeper sense.

Anticipating Good Things
Sagittarius Daily Horoscope
You may notice that your positive mood today is based on your anticipation of good things to come. This optimism is likely to have you seeing and interpreting your world differently. Because your outlook is uplifted, any gloomy fog that may have shadowed recent moments burns off in the bright light of your joyful anticipation. You now can appreciate the lighter side of any situation and make kinder assumptions about the actions of those around you. Today because you feel that the future is going your way, you are able to enjoy the present moment more fully as well.
A feeling of hope is a powerful ray of light that illuminates our lives. It gives us the ability to see things around us more clearly, letting shades of doubt give way to the bright possibilities that lie behind everything. We can choose any moment to see the good around us, but it is easier to do when we have something definite to focus upon. This is a good thing to remember at those moments when we are in a low or even neutral space. Sometimes boredom can lead us to create drama, just to have something to do. But we can remember to focus instead on something positive to anchor us in the light, and allow everything we do to be infused with it. Today we enjoy the wonderful experience of anticipation of good and the auxiliary joy it brings.
Top 10 SkinCare Tips =)
Here, my top 10 skin tips:
- Protect yourself from the sun — use sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight between the hours of 10 and 2.
- Don’t — I repeat — don’t smoke. Your skin is a large organ and it needs a lot of circulation. Smoking impairs that dramatically. That’s why smokers’ skin looks dull and gray. Instead of having oxy-generated blood delivered to the surface of the skin, they’re getting poisons and oxidants.
- Get adequate rest and nutrition.
- Protect yourself from stress — both emotional and environmental stress.
- Wash your face twice a day and put on the proper treatment product. I’m amazed when women tell me they don’t wash their face in the morning. A lot of icky stuff collects overnight — dead skin cells, dirt, and dust!
- Don’t neglect certain areas of the skin. Elbows, heels, neck, and decolletage need moisturizing, and your scalp and the tops of your feet need sun protection.
- Touch your face less and wash your hands more! Don’t get too surgical on yourself. It’s very tempting to pick, poke, squeeze, and scratch in front of the mirror. But the more you traumatize the skin, the greater your risk of scarring. Apply treatment products and let them work.
- Keep your makeup clean. Replace the sponges in your compact on a regular basis. Now and then, toss the whole works and start fresh — the average shelf life for cosmetics is 6 to 12 months. Don’t buy products so expensive that you’ll be heartbroken if you have to throw them away.
- Exercise moderation. More is not always better. Moisturizer, for example, is the most overused product in America. We’ve been bamboozled by cosmetic companies into thinking every square inch of our body has to be slathered. And it’s simply not true. Exfoliators are another thing to be careful with. Used too often, they overacidify and irritate your skin.
- Beware of counter girls. If it were up to them, you’d be in the bathroom for two and a half hours each morning — putting 80 layers on your face. Keep your regimen simple. And when you do add a new product, do it gradually so your skin has time to adjust. Each skincare or makeup product has an average of 20 to 40 ingredients — you’re introducing 20 to 40 potential allergens to your face every time you try something new.
